truth is fiction recounts the tale of Tristram, an opera singer who is framed and murdered for possessing supernatural singing abilities. upon his death, he finds himself locked within a clock tower with nothing but a quill and an empty diary. as he puts pen to paper he discovers that his words become the reality he experiences. he attempts to write himself alive again and encounters several challenges along the way. sorrow, loss, betrayal, love and intrigue. in the end he finds himself in a dark room trying to find his way by the light of a single candle.</sub>
